Unfortunately, this script may not work anymore. We might have circumvented guards against uninstalling Edge/WebView2 Runtime in the past, but this has been hardened recently. It is applied to both Windows 10 and Windows 11 (mostly because they are pre-installed with WebView2 Runtime).

Fresh Win11 Install - Widgets aren't working due to missing WebView2 ...
I am met with a message that says"Widgets is unavailable - you need Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime to use Widgets". WebView2 is clearly installed. My O365 apps, including Teams (that defo uses WebView) are functioning just fine. Windows is up to date. Edge in of itself is up to date. Machine Sync to Entra is good. I've tried.

J'ai déjà tenté de réparer Microsoft Edge mais cela ne solutionne pas le problème. J'ai également tenté de réinstaller aussi bien Microsoft Edge que Microsoft Edge runtime webview2 mais dans ce dernier cas, je reçois le message que cela est déjà installé.

Webview2 New Outlook issue - Microsoft Community
The Edge WebView2 Runtime is listed as version 129.0.2792.79 and was updated on 10/5. I suspect the Outlook might have been updated on 10/8, but which recent reboot actually enabled that version I am not certain. Cannot install Webview2 Runtime module; can use Edge but not Outlook ...
Reassociate WebView2 Runtime: Press Win + I to open Settings, go to"Apps." Scroll down to find"Microsoft Edge" and click on it. Click"Advanced options" and check if the"WebView2 Runtime" entry is listed as an associated app. If not, click"Choose defaults for this app" and make sure"WebView2 Runtime" is associated correctly.

Is there a way to uninstall the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime? The Control Panel (Programs and Features) gives the option to"Change" but not to uninstall WebView2. The reason I want to remove it is that I am in the process of debloating Windows 11, and I am curious as to how to remove it, because Windows doesn't give that option.
